Knitting Fever

I don’t know what’s ‘wrong’ with me but I have been having a serious knitting fever for days now… I’ve had this particular design in my head of a patchwork cardigan coat with a nice large hoodie so I went to a local shop and bought all sorts of black and grey shades of yarn *so cheap!* and dug through drawers to look for remnant yarn that has been lying there for ages waiting for me to use for my cardigan. It’s gonna look so cool!

Every evening I watch the same show on T.V. and perhaps a movie if anything good is on, but I always feel like it’s a waste of time somehow to just sit there: I know it must sound insane but I feel I could make myself useful. So while I was watching last week, the urge to do so became stronger and the next day I got out and bought all sorts of different yarn to turn into a super dooper nice and warm patchwork cardigan coat :)

It’s extremely relaxing to do: it almost gets me into this meditational state. I’m eager to finish the cardigan so I can wear it asap now that the temperature outside seems about right *hehe* and the cold weather has come to visit… In the meantime when I can control the fever I’m also working on a presentation website: a design for a potential client…

  1. I admire that you have the patience for knitting, it will surely be really rewarding to have the finished product once you’re done :)

  2. Knitting! I’m jealous! I haven’t learned… any thoughts on a good “how to” for beginners website??? ;)

I wanted to come by and give my friend Zesty a virtual hug. I was thinking about you so much and wondering how you were!

I do hope all is well.

BTW the site looks wonderful! Beautiful graphics!

  3. It’s actually extremely relaxing :) I guess I have the patience because of the design that I have in mind, I can’t find anything decent at any shop :o( So in a way I’m forced to make it myself and you’re right it will be something special when it’s done :) I have about six months to finish the long cardigan after that I won’t be able to return the remnant yarn so there’s a time limit to this *hehe*…

  4. Hey Monica! So good to see you again, I hope you’re well dearie, I really missed your posts and vibrant thoughts. I hope the dust has settled a bit whatever it was that was affecting you *HUG*. Your hugs are always very much appreciated, thank you sweet friend! And thanks for the compliments, I’m happy to hear you love my graphics :)

Knitting: I wouldn’t have a clue about a website, my mum taught me light years ago *hehe* Like I told my friend Bitter Chocolate I’m kinda forced to knit since the stuff that the shops sell is all so mainstream and dull and I have cool designs in my head that I can’t find. Once the cardigan coat is finished I’m gonna knit a beautiful black velvet fifties-design jumper with crew neck and short sleeves… Another one of those things that I can’t find :)
