At times I don’t get the whole ‘beauty thing’… I don’t get Botox crap nor anyone who would want plastic waste in their body. I don’t get pancaked women wearing tight masks of makeup *wonder what it looks like in the morning!* and I don’t get women who curl their lashes…
I just read an article about the latest gadget, The Turbo Lashwand: a double-heating coil lash curler that reaches 60 degrees. *eeew* The thought of curling eyelashes makes me cringe… Forgive me, I just don’t get it. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind a little eye makeup but…
I believe natural is best and I think nature is constantly proving this statement if you’re willing to look for the examples it’s showing you. I mean…, have a look at the pictures below, did you ever expect to see something so bright and colourful and so amazingly beautiful?
I didn’t… so here’s my tribute to natural, nature and beauty… It’s called a Splendid Fairywren and splendid it is! And guess what… It doesn’t even need a Turbo Lashwand…

Well, if I looked like Splendid Fairywren, I wouldn’t worry about makeup either
I don’t think I’d consider walking out of the house with no foundation makeup, unless it’s the summer and I have a cute tan. But unfortunately I haven’t been blessed with a naturally beautiful skin, so makeup it is. I do know that enough is enough though, here in England girls really go way over the top sometimes. There was a girl in my class with a fake orange tan, painted eyebrows and huge fake eyelashes – once I saw her without any eye makeup (perhaps she had an eye infection or she had been in a hurry?) and I barely recognized her… made me wonder what she actually looks like…
There was a show on TV (in the UK) about this where they would show girls their natural beauty. I think those English girls are a perfect example of the ‘mask’ I mentioned in my post *hehe* Yes women and girls in the UK tend to walk around like they need to go on stage any time soon
I think it’s nasty… and yes you’re right you can barely recognise them without the smudge. Most don’t realise that they’ll look much! better without it…
Your situation is different though, you choose to conceal something that’s bothering you and you still keep it natural! You can’t compare yourself to those ‘masks’
I have skin problems as well, just the opposite so I couldn’t even wear makeup if I wanted to -and I don’t!- it would aggravate things.
