Today I was supposed to meet up with the manager of the City Auditorium Ms. S. but her secretary called and canceled this morning because Ms. S. was ill. It’s been postponed till next week but I can’t deny that I was slightly disappointed because I’d been looking forward to meeting up with her and show my portfolio. In a way it’s good though because I still need to go through my folio and perhaps add some more designs that I’ve been working on lately.
I decided to go into town and check out the one and only toko here, a mainly Chinese toko that seem to stock all my favourite pastes, noodles, noodle soups, herbs, condiments and even some cool Chinese crockery. Another Aladdin’s cave to me, I couldn’t resist buying something, so I took a nice big jar of Thai green curry paste. I use this to make a chicken soup with coconut milk and rice noodles, very tasty and it only takes 20 minutes to prepare.
I also got myself a refill for my personal mini organiser mainly because I’m scatterbrained most of the time. But also because lately my desk is covered in notes jotted down on small pieces of paper: names, dates and times that suddenly seem to disappear when I need them most. This can be quite inconvenient. Especially when my nature is that of trying to be organised… scatterbrained but organised: yes that is possible, at least in my case it is *wink*.
Sooooo, I’m back to a typical Dutch habit: keeping an organiser to keep track of things because I have, what feels like, a million appointments planned. One tomorrow afternoon because my GP needs to see me and ever since I’ve spoken to her assistant I feel the need to ‘see her’ as well… It’s not going to be a civilised chat I’m afraid because I’m not happy about how she and her assistant have to approach things: I’m about to look for another GP.
More on that in another post probably… It’s been a strange week and next week is going to be even stranger… I hope in a good way! Have a beautiful weekend…

You’re good that you manage to keep on organiser… I usually buy them only to keep them lying around with their pages blank while I still forget most of the stuff that I’m meant to do
Good luck with the GP tomorrow, er, today!
Thank you
It’s something I need to do in order to keep my brain clutter free
But like you I also have periods where I keep blank pages simply because I forget to write things down. GP went well, I’ve filed a complaint
and it actually worked. Problem solved…
Every time I have an organizer, I’ll write things down in it and then forget that I ever wrote it down. ;P
That’s why I use iCal because it can send me an email and say HEY! DON’T FORGET!
Works very well!
My organiser is also my sketch and note book, so it’s hard to forget to have a look at it
I use iCal too (just not with email alerts) but it isn’t handy if someone calls you to make an appointment: I still take pen and paper to write it down first so I might as well write it in my organiser
Btw, I keep both… that’s how scatterbrained I am or perhaps it’s a matter of covering all angles?
