What The F@%^

Last Thursday when we came back from Lakeside there were two police cars sitting on the side of our street. One with blue flashing lights on, the other parked in front of our house. Tonight when I sat down to read a bit online, I heard some noise outside and had a look out the window, guess what I saw:

The police car again

Now what the hell is going on? I wish they would inform us, just to get all the spooky thoughts out of our heads. People start to imagine things don’t they, and I’d really like to know what happened. The police car is now driving around the block, there is one car on the left, parked with his lights on and the crime scene car is sitting there still with his engine running.
A guy came out of the car earlier, carrying some metal plates, talking to someone over the phone and then walking towards the police car. I didn’t see which house he went into unfortunately. He is now sitting in the van, light on, scribbling something down in a notebook…
Total suspense.
I’ve never seen anything like this, worse thing was a firetruck in front of my house in Amsterdam, with a fireman peeking thru my window, telling me not to worry but yeah there was a fire next door. I’ve never seen a crime scene team in real life, just the shows on tv actually, which I find quite interesting btw. So this is all new to me. I prefer watching the foxes near the park at night to be honest…

Golf VW 1.9 TDi SE 100

A. bought our new car yesterday. We went west of London to have a look at the car which took us nearly an hour to get there. A. took the Golf for a spin and it was love on first sight. Airco, ABS and cruise control and in my fav color: grey! We are happy! [Although it is not my Red Monster…] It’s four years old so I won’t have to die of guilt if I would damage it driving the freaky narrow streets of London. I’m happy that we will get rid of the Lexus now, it’s totally not my thing, I’ve called it the ‘Pimp-my-Ride’ car. It’s tacky… Just tacky!
[I wrote this earlier in another post about driving in London: “two lanes but cars parked on either side and the space that’s left in the middle only is about the width of ONE car, can you imagine driving in these conditions? If a car approaches you, you will have to move into the empty gaps on your side of the road just to get pass each other, or he stops for you in a gap on his side. If there is none, then you will have to drive all the way back until you’ve found one…”]
