Stone Age Employer

I’m still getting slightly frustrated by my last employer, well I reckon ‘slightly’ is quite an understatement really… I’m so happy I made the decision to quit the job and leave the country, it has been the best decision ever. But, and there is a big but; I do miss my colleagues. That’s a different subject though. All was fine with my colleagues, just having to deal with a school [read ‘Academy’] system invented in the year 1358 BC was not really my cup of tea and left me utterly frustrated at times. I had the same frustration a few minutes ago but hopefully that will be the last time I ever have to deal with it again…
My colleague Christiaan offered his kind help and it would’ve been so simple if he could’ve done what he offered to do which was picking up the annual tax document from the administration department and send it to me. The document has been sent to my address in the Lowlands though, where I no longer reside *let me count; for 7 months already, duh* and it seems to be a problem to get a copy and give it to my colleague so he can send it to me. Why do simple things have to become such a problem and instant struggle. I have the figures sent to me by email which is okay for now but I might need a copy of the document to send off to the tax people and providing me the copy seems to be a major issue.
Perhaps I was too subtle when I said the year 1358 BC, what I meant to say was; invented in the Stone Age when cavemen used rock paintings to communicate, the year of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble. Wilmaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Birthday Alex

I have to go to the Docklands this afternoon because I have to return a Karen Millen dress that I intended to wear at the wedding but I changed my mind. It’s a beautiful strapless dress but somehow it doesn’t feel right. I’ll meet up with A. after I’ve taken the dress back to the store. I have no clue where but I gave him a map of the catacombs and maze of passages of Canary Wharf, which makes navigation over the phone much easier. I can tell him which way and where to go to meet up for a drink [since he’s always in doubt I’m always the one to make the decisions]. I’ll have to cancel I. who was going to pick me up because it’s easier and quicker to take the DLR.

Then at 20.30 we’ll meet up with eleven more people since it’s Alex her 20th birthday [A.’s niece] and she invited all of us; I., C. [parents], James [brother], A. [uncle], myself, Christina [colleague from the Times], Andrew [bf] and some more friends. We’re going to have dinner at Smollensky’s, Canary Wharf. I had a look at the menu; yummy stuff and lucky me some healthy things too! I’m still suffering from a serious sinus infection so hopefully I will be able to taste something! Well I’d better sort myself out and get my stuff ready. Talk later!

ps I realise you must be thinking, why does she need to get ready now, it’s because I totally f*@%^£ up my shoulder/arm last Saturday, trying to lift myself from a low couch to reposition I reckon I’ve wrecked a tendon in my upper right arm/shoulder [yes the bad arm]. I’ve been in pain ever since and can’t move my arm in certain directions which is causing awkward situations at times. A. is not around to help me so everything takes twice as long today… *hehehe* :P
