Therapy Session

This is what I do when I’m pissed off… *kidding* I was just fed up with the collection of germs after four years, so I decided to take it apart and clean it. I’ve been in a rearranging, reorganising and declutter mood again, it always hits me when I feel I have no control over certain things. So I take control over the things that I can control… *still with me? hehe*

It was good because this forced me to sit down and stay away from my G5 for a while and contemplate while sorting out, cleaning and drying bits and pieces. I had to stick it upside down on the heater for an hour as well because I used water to clean it and it started to type by itself without me touching anything when I plugged it in… *eeeeeek* Now who says I ain’t no geek?

It’s wireless *of course* and so freakin clean again *just awesome!*

And now I’ve got to solve the puzzle…

  2. ;) It was so utterly disgusting I just had to take it apart and clean it… Now that I know how to do it I will probably do it more often to keep the dirt and germs at bay *hehe* Hope yours is as easy to take apart as mine is! But don’t forget a reference, I put two of my keys upside down *LOL*

  3. I hope you took a picture before you took it apart. ;)
    I’ve been needing to do the same thing. I’m using an old G4 keyboard with a MacBook Pro. It’s been awhile since I took it apart to clean.

  4. I didn’t actually *hehe* and got stuck at some point but then I realised I had the original keyboard still that came with my G5 so I used that as a reference. Then later that week while I was working on a Flash movie I had to type some actionscript and noticed that I’d swapped the ‘{‘ and ‘}’ around *LOL* that was kind of funny ;)

    I thought it was actually quite relaxing to clean it and quite easy to remove the keys although I have no idea if it’s the same with a G4 keyboard… Good luck with that! ;)

  6. *LOL* don’t be ashamed, it took me four years to take the decision to finally take it apart and clean it… but it was worth it!
