More Notebooks

Aren’t they absolutely gorgeous? I was actually looking for a not-so-cool one because I have a very nice idea in my head to revamp the cover but then I ran into these. They’re very good quality, perfect for my label and tag collection and so amazingly cheap compared to other brands. Also the right size: A5 [210x148mm] which is not too small and not too big either and extremely well-bound!

I nicked the last two from the shelf, I just couldn’t resist… These were so cheap I thought the price on the tag was a mistake *hehe*

A proper post later, work first than pleasure… and I’m actually enjoying what I’m currently doing: building tiny Flash banners.

So many pages to fill…

Sturdy and with a beautiful cover

  1. Nice :-)

I can remember times I might receive something like these and I wouldn’t know what to do with them… except to just feel them and appreciate quality.

I have very little these days, but sometimes it’s nice to have something just cause it is nice, whether it ever gets used or not.

  2. How about: give them to me? ;) Oh I will use these trust me… They’re always sitting in my bookcase waiting for me and then one day the perfect occasion comes along and I’ll pick one and start using it. I had my ‘Happy Book’ notebook for four years already before I found the perfect use for it :)

And one of these will be used for food labels: wine, whisky, cheese etc. and hopefully one day a clover field with a tiny bee :)

  3. They are really beautiful! You know? I also love buying notebooks :) I have a couple that I bought just because they are so beautiful I couldn’t not buy them :) though I don’t really use them LOL

I will take pics one day and post them :)

    Cheers my friend :)

  4. Thanks Wen :) It’s an addiction isn’t it? I used to write in them, thoughts, dreams etc. until I started this blog. These days I use them to collect anything design related :) It’s more or less a scrapbook… I call them my Happy Books ;)

I’m sure one day you’ll find a good way to use them… they’re just waiting for that day to come. What about writing down recipes from your home country? :)

I would really really love to see pictures! :)

  5. No… they should be ours… We could share and I’m sure that would give an extremely interesting result, your notes and mine ;)

  6. Good idea :) I can’t wait to go to my country and bring so many ingredients and recipes with me :) It’s amazing how now I appreciate all that food that I took for granted.

  7. You could collect them and pass them on later when you’re ‘old’ ;)

I can relate to the kind of appreciation, once away from your country it’s like you actually learn everything about it all over again and see things through different eyes, it’s beautiful in a way isn’t it? :)

  8. I’m afraid no one will be able to read them… not even me.

Whatever happened to my ability to precisely control my line weight with a drafting pencil so my drawings would would come out of the blueprint machine as they should?

(of course that’s fast becoming a lost art thanks to CAD)

    But I ramble….. ;-)
